The Cabinet Office Efficiency and Reform Group’s role is to make Government more efficient and radically reform public services. Professor John Seddon has published evidence on how public sector managers in local government, housing services, the police and the NHS have reduced waste and improved service. He has an important contribution to make to the group.
It is a contribution based upon knowledge. Unlike many advocates for change in the public services, Seddon’s method is based upon a profound study of the work. He does not force ideology or poorly evidenced economic theory into public services.
